Combined with a 40- or 42-inch chainring, you'll never run out of gears on even the steepest village road or in the high mountains. Like the 1x12 variant with 10-45T, this group also has an integrated SHADOW-PLUS chain stabilizer for optimum chain security and an ON/OFF switch, which allows for quick and easy removal of the wheel in the event of a puncture.

Both 1x12 options use Micro Spline, Shimano's lightweight aluminum freewheel design that pairs seamlessly with a small 10-tooth sprocket and features smaller, more widely spaced teeth that reduce sprocket wear. The 1x12 Gravel crankset is offered in three crank arm lengths, so you can choose the ideal Shimano GRX setup for your needs and riding style.

Alongside this range of Gravel-tuned gear options are the new ST-RX820 brake/shift levers. The new lever design was developed specifically for use with flare handlebars, which play an important role in graveling. The design of the Shimano RT-MT800 brake discs is an evolution of the successful ICE TECHNOLOGIES FREEZA design. The revised brake discs with ICE TECHNOLOGY FREEZA heat dissipation lower the temperatures again significantly and thus ensure consistent braking performance and longer brake pad life.
