Following the principle of passing on the experiences and technologies of the top series, the Deore XT incorporates the innovations of the high-end XTR components. Accordingly the new 12-speed groupset features of course Micro Spline and Hyperglide+.
 

Shimano Deore XT FH-M8130-B rear hub

The Shimano Deore XT FH-M8130 rear hub with Centerlock brake disc mount offers reliable Trail performance thanks to its high-quality cup-and-cone-bearings which guarantee smooth rolling characteristics. The Micro Spline freewheel design originally developed for the XTR M9100 series is also adopted for the FH-M8110 hub where it provides faster acceleration and accordingly high driving pleasure.

Micro Spline

The aluminium freewheel with 22 evenly spaced teeth keeps the cassette firmly under control for immediate response and also allows the use of a 10 teeth sprocket. In addition, the smaller and compared to the usual Hyperglide freewheel bodies more extensive gearing prevents rotor damage.
